I have the Hydration backpack with a bunch of pockets and zingers on the front, I have a mesh vest, a clothe vest with removable fleece sleeves, a fanny pack, three chest packs. All seemed - must haves at the time.
I have the sling and have been using it for three years now. It was the right move for me.
