If you were in the market or wanted to build a switch rod , what in your opionion would be your choices as far as length and weight is concerned , and what fish would you target?
10'6" - 11' range for length and 7wt/8wt. Mostly steelhead on mid to larger sized rivers are my thoughts on switch rods.

Ed I am with Steve on this one. Maybe go with a 6 weight for the stillwater. 11 foot seems about right. Good luck on that one.
