Nice article Tom. A Golden has been on my "bucket list" for awhile now and reading of your exploits has rekindled my interest. The WA State wildlife folks claim there are goldens in a few of the alpine streams in the Cascade Range but I've never heard of anyone catching one.
Tom, Nice to see you made it to some of my fishing waters. That was a nice report. BTW. You were correct in stating the folks in the Kernville area are friendly and helpful. Just don't ask'em were their favorite hole is.
I'm either going to, coming from or thinking about fishing. Jim
I've worked in Bakerfield for 2 1/2 years now but have never fished the Kern River even though I've driven along side it many times. I'll have to check it out now.
