    Default "Celebrity Tyer" Swap

I'm thinking of hosting some swaps based on a "Celebrity Tyers" fly patterns. For instance: the patterns of Gary Lafontaine or Mike Mercer or Charlie Craven or Scott Sanchez or Shane Stalcup or Randal Kauffmann or Rene Harrop or Doug Swisher etc etc etc. All swappers will be tying the "Celebrity Tyers" patterns, from their books, websites, dvd's etc.

I would like to get some feedback as to how many tyers would be interested in one of these swaps. The swaps will not be a monthly kind of thing, but after one swap is completed, another swap can start.

So would this type of swap interest you??

as the swapmeister, i would pick the "celebrity tyer" and swappers would chose which of his/hers flies to tie.

i like the polly rosborough idea but not sure too many folks even knows who he is

Thumbs up Polly is an excellent choice!

I have to agree that Polly would be an excellent choice though many of the newer tyers would be wondering who that was. Don't forget Dave Whitlock as a possible choice either. Great Idea! 8T

count me in! swaps that expand my knowledge of flies, tyers, and techniques are my favorite.
fly fishing and baseball share a totally deceptive simplicity; that's why they can both be lifelong pursuits.

I'm a "old" Polly fan, but would be happy tying patterns from any of the tyers you suggested.
