Pretty much looks like I need to fish there with you some day, after we do some fly tying that is!!
Did'nt know that Smithville lake had another lake attached to it. A bit of info might be handy to have . A pm or somthing on the board would be greatly appreciated.

I made the hike back there Friday. Had a couple of very tiny bluegills biting, nothing was taking. The bass were going after the dragon flies they looked blue to me. I didnt have anything that even resembled a dragon fly or that was blue. Between my fly rod and my ultralight with some artificial minnows and some always reliable spinners. I had no luck what so ever. I should have went to the other side of the lake ( that point looks nice) I was fishing between the two benches. I really wanted to fish the dam, but there wasnt much water and a couple of people were taking it all up.
