Has anyone been out yet this winter? Just wondering how you did if you got out at all.

Brrrr! Hate the cold. I'll start thinking about going out when the water temperature goes above 50.
Keep warm.

There is a fine line between fly fishing, and standing in the water waving a stick.
Great time to get out.
I fished the Little Lehigh NewYears day.

Been out a few times this winter. I will venture out if the temp is 40 or so with not to much wind. Have down pretty well in the Yellow Breeches C & R area. Just fish slow and keep it small...

Fished Rattling for about 90 minutes on the first. Have a really good day. Found more fish than I expected and they were cooperative. Had to be deep and slow. Used a cased caddis for top fly and a partridge and herl soft hackle on the bottom. Of course had to catch a few on a geen weenie before quitting just to keep things proper. Wonderful thing this time of year is hardly anyone is fishing leaving me with a pick of spots.
fish4life:
I fish the Little Lehigh all winter long. I've been there quite a few times since December began including minutes after the last big snow we had on December 9th.
I usually do well despite only putting in a few hours due to the shorter days.
Low & slow seems to do the trick for me with Buggers & assorted nymphs being the most successful flies.
