I haven't taken too many fly photos. I just snapped this one while sitting here. Hand held... Bad lighting and all. It's a size #18 Opal Para Patriot...I think it's Dennis Potter's tie. This one has been chewed up by several brookies. I just pulled it off my hat.

A review/comparison of the W60 vs 1030sw. I believe both companies have upgraded to newer models. Still, an idea of the differences.

    Default Thanks!

Thanks, everyone for all the great advice. I really appreciated how specific you all were and the several sample photos. One thing that I think may have made my macro shots of tied flies a problem is that my background has some texture. I'll plan to switch to a more smooth background and quite likely end up choosing between the Optio and the Olympus.

    Thanks again!

Thanks, chewy...I just spent a ton of time reading that review then blog-hopping around, learning even more about the features to consider.
