Great looking fish there. I would love to fish there someday because I read that river is full of some huge brown's.

    Nice fish

You should go. I'm dying to go back. I went once for about a 5 day trip and in 3 full days of fishing landed countless browns 12-16", awesome place. I never caught anything big unfortunately.

There are a lot there but thet are not real easy to find. Fish there enough and it'll happen. The largest I have caught so far is a nice 21" brown. Caught on a 4 wt swinging soft hackles.

A 21 incher is also my best on the White.Personally I like the Norfork better, but usually fish them both when I go over there.

Nice brown. Only had one chance to fish there. Caught browns, rainbows and cutt's. Can't wait to get back down there.

    nice fish!

the secret to catching trophy fish in the white, norfork, and little red rivers of ark is learning to ignore the scads and scads of good fish while you search for the true "big fish" lies. if you allow yourself to get distracted by the dozens of 16 to 20 inch trout you will see all over the place, you'll spend all of your time catching them instead of finding that 24"+ fish that is most certainly nearby.

it's a good problem to have. if you're gonna fall "victim" to something, catching a couple dozen or more trout averaging 16" or so is a pretty good consolation prize.

Beautiful fish. Those White River Browns have gorgeous markings.
Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.
