A couple weeks ago I was fishing the Madison and had a fish throw my hooks on the surface. They came screeching back at me, one hit my sunglasses and my dropper went completly through my upper lip. Thankfully a fellow flyfisher was working around me and I asked him to help me back the hook out of my face. I'm lucky I was wearing some eye protection.

I wear prescription glasses & in the industry I work in safety glasses WITH SIDE SHEILDS are a must. Over the years they have probably saved my sight a few times at work. When fishing most of the time I wear those Fitover sunglasses & they will protect the sides. But from now on I'll be putting on removable side sheilds when fishing without the fitovers. I only have 2 eyes.

Good video & a wake call to everyone about what could happen in a moment of either carelessness or unforeseen circumstances.
