Ok, so here's me with my climbing partner.
I'm the dwarf in the blue parka. You can see the summit we just climbed that morning. It's on the far right.

As for the fishing pics:
Fishing for trout at a high altitude pond ... a little solitude goes a long way.
Fishin' buddy Francisco Villa (I've yet to tease him into joining us at FAOL). And me in the background.
And last but not least: A nice day by the river... (the roadhouse was a once in a lifetime thing)

Another climber! What peak was it and how tall?
Thank God for my wife, the midge nymph and those hapless Iowa Hawkeyes!
Hi Jim,
It is called "Pan de Azucar" (That'll be: "Sugar Bread") and stands at a height of 5'150 meters or 16'900 feet. It's the southern-most peak of a high range called "Sierra Nevada del Cocuy", 450 kms N.E. of Bogota. Colombia's main city. One place you've got to see before you die.
We decided to climb the north face. The route starts as an ice fall full of crevasses and then goes through a plateau up until a narrow edge that takes you straight to the summit. Pretty exposed and scary but fun, nonetheless!!
Dave.

My kid did Aconcagua last year. He's after the big seven. 40 grand el cheapo to summit Everest. Sorry I'm too old and not wealthy to help him out but I'd like to give him his dream, but he's on his own. You kids enjoy life while it's there.
And tell me what the Leopard was doing at the west summit of Kilimanjaro (from the prologue of "The Snow's Of Kilimanjaro" by Hemingway) when you get there.
Enjoy your life! Your doing good so far.
