One of my former coworkers always said that the answer to the old question "Can you go home again?" was "Yes, but understand that it won't be the same, things have changed so you have to start with new memories of your old haunts." A bit paraphrased, but the essence, anyway. After visiting my home town this last time, I have to agree, things have changed quite a lot in the 13 years I've been away. Personally, I don't want to go "home" again, except to visit, but would only if it made economic sense to do so (i.e. a job promotion or something that was too good to resist). Otherwise, other than my family, White Castles and good pizza, there's nothing else from my "home" town that I miss.
