Thread: Wyoming Fly Adventure

    Default Wyoming Fly Adventure

Spent the last few days fishing various lakes and streams in the Medicine Bow National Forest. Spent the first day fishing the area streams. Caught small brookies and browns hand over fist.

Then I got this nice rainbow to take an elk hair caddis.

Spent the next day fishing South Gap and North Gap lake. Fishing wasn't necessarily hot, but it was good enough to keep us interested.

Things got really interesting when I got this nice cutthroat to take my black ant. The fact that this was my first cutthroat added to the excitement.

Last fish of the day for me, a nice brookie.

    Thumbs up

Those are some really nice fishies you guys got there in the Medicine Bow. Some great pics, too.

Featherbender, Nice quadruple day. Brown, brook, 'bow and cutt. Thanks for sharing the story and pics.
I'm either going to, coming from or thinking about fishing. Jim

I'd say you guys did pretty nicelyf'bender. You were aptly rewarded with those bows and cutts.

Beautiful looking water too. And a good friend to top it off.

Reminds me of the saying/quote "Some people fish their entire lives w/o realizing it's not the fish they're after!"...author misplaced, sorry.

You did well. You should feel good.

Jeremy. P.S. Imagine what it'd felt like casting to those guys with bamboo...
