Rapid River ,ME.

Has anyone fished here and if so would you recommend it? I am looking to do a trip here in early June. Thanks!

I fished there a couple of years ago and had good luck I took a Brooke of about 3 1/2 pounds and several nice LL Salmon. It is a very beautiful place to boot.
I used a Brooks stone nymph and some midges. I also found that a beadhead PT of the back of a EHC worded well to.

Eric,
Remember that whats biting that time of year is black flies. They are Maine's State Bird. You can't keep any of the black flies that are under 6", but it is rare to see a black fly that small.

Do not worry about the black flies,,,,,just bring along a 50 gal. barrel of Deet. Jump in every 30 min for a good soaking and enjoy the fishing.
