    Default Columbia South Carolina ????

If anyone is interested in sharing some info on the area, it would be appreciated.

May be stopping there for a weekend in August and would like to get someone started on flyfishing...perhaps if someone would share a spot or two where some panfish and Bass could be found.

Send a PM if you are willing to share but don't want to broadcast a favorite spot...there are some ponds in their neighborhood but perhaps a less suburban surrounding would be nice.

Also are the creeks safe to wade or are gators always a concern?.....last time I was down there I was ankle deep in a nice pond and the someone was kind enough to let me know that I was about 2 feet from a gator nest!

I am still pretty new to the south and the things I still need to learn! In the north you normally don't need to worry about large four legged reptiles. Best wishes on finding a fishing spot.
