Well the air temp fell into the 70s for...........HIGHS!! Tennessee, Summer? What made this so appropriate was that I was near the home of the 'local idiot', Al Gore. Coincidences of coincidences. Record lows for high temps. What's the statistical chances? Oh, the irony of it all.
Well anyway. I figured this would get the trout moving. Cool air, cooler water. What's not to like?
I guess the abrupt change wasn't to the fish's liking. Caught one brook and one..............bream! Yup a bluegill in Caney Fork.
2 weeks earlier I caught 18 in about a 3-hour period!
Fished the better part of Sat afternoon and evening. Went down on Sunday morning and after about 20 minutes of no fish rising anywhere I left for the day and went after other game. Found a nice blue gill pond and commenced to wear 'em out. They knew a nice day when they saw it!
