The family and I would like to wish you all a very safe and Happy Christmas.

As a little reminder about safety, ... a colleague in BC was driving home from a meeting in a small snow storm.

He, being a prudent driver, wasn't going very fast. Out of no where, a cow moose surged out of the ditch.

Doug had no way of avoiding the collision. Fortunately, as he was already driving at a reduced speed, they only needed a tow truck, (instead of an ambulance).

Had our friend not have been driving at a mere 40 mph, appropriate for the conditions, Christmas at his household may have been a much different affair.

1100 lbs of moose vs a pickup.

So let's be carefull out there. Wildlife and drunk drivers just seem to spring out of nowhere.
