Came up with a 'new' fly
Well I hadn't seen one until I made it and it worked great. I'll try to get a pic but it's nothing more than a:
-small bead-head soft hackle.
More like a bead-head 'red ***' for those that know what that is
I'm sure it's been made by someone, somewhere but I never saw one before. Kinda pattin' myself on the back for 'thinkin outside the box'.
Not my best attempt:
The reason I like it is the fact I don't have to weight it and fumble with weights, although I guess you still can do that if you wish. It tumbles and bounces off the stream bottom nicely just the way it is.
Whipped up a new one just for the occasion. I ribbed it for her pleasure:
