Default Please keep your eyes open..

A friend of mine, a FF guide, had his car broken into yesterday. He guides west of Toronto, Ontario mostly, and had the following gear (as well as some camera gear) stolen from his vehicle. Please keep your eyes open, and PM me if you see any of this stuff turn up.

    Thanks so much,
    TZB

Unhappy Good luck to your friend!

    Hi Bug,

I hope that your friend is able to recover some of his stuff. It seems like every place that someone might want to park and fish has it's resident thief around waiting to steal anything that's left in the car. It's ashame that we can't hire an Ayatola to punish these creeps once they're finally caught. 8T

One more reason to always carry a handgun when fishing (where legal to do so of course) you never know what kind of low-life might be wandering around.
Believe me, if I saw someone breaking into a vehicle they would be getting questioned at least. And if I didn't like the answers held for the cops to check out, cell phones are great at those kind of times!

This was stolen from his own driveway at night.
A late night guiding preceded an early morning guiding trip and unloading all the gear seemed unnecessary. I have done this myself (although I don't guide).

He knows it was stupid but most of us have done the same thing.
A good lesson to remove valuables from your vehicle at night , even in your own driveway.
Shame it had to happen to such a nice guy, I hope he gets the stuff back that he is attached too.

Update. The police have made one arrest so far with more to follow on this one. They still don't have the goods but hopefully they will be able to recover some of the stuff.

....and DufF is right...it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. I sure do hope the send a strong message to these kids in court.
