I'm going to be in town August 15-16 for the waterfowl weekend at Cabela's. Just figured I'd holler at you guys, see if anybody wanted to get together and say hi or maybe wet a line somewhere close for some bluegills. Let me know.

Can you tell us where you'll be staying? I assume you'll probably be staying somewhere near Cabela'ls? I'm way on the other side of KC about 45 miles from Cabela's. Maybe some of the guys on the KS side would be nearer. I don't know where to fish on that side. All the good spots I know are, not surprisingly, over here by me.

Well, apparently lots of things have changed with the waterfowl weekend. Let me figure out when I'll have off and what will work and I'll let y'all know. Would love to meet some of you guys and do some bluegillin'!

Well, kid, looks like I'm working August 15th. I have to be there at noon, which pretty well cuts me out of a fishing trip, but you still have a few options. steveks could probably get you onto some carp on the KS side and SteveP could provide a mixed bag up north on the MO side. Perch is up that way and tlerm isn't too awful far away, so there's still a mini fish-in there if someone wants to call the shot. When you come by the store make sure you stop and say "hi".

Just let me know what time and what you want to catch. Like Bluegill222 said the carp in the shallows and I have been chasing them. There are lots of other fish to catch also.
