    Default Happy 4th of July

Hey FAOL Family. Just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy USA Independence Day. I'm off to Las Vegas at 6:00 AM to pick up my daughter and son-in-law at the airport. Just a quick round trip before the traffic gets crazy. Then back home for a BBQ and home town fireworks display. What are you all doing? Jim
I'm either going to, coming from or thinking about fishing. Jim

Thanks Jim and Happy 4th to you and yours. Stay cool out in the Mojave, I am off in an hour or so to see if I can catch some nice bream hanging out around their beds. I need to harvest a dozen or so for an older gentleman from my church.

We all need to stop and remember the price paid for the Independence we enjoy this Independence Day. I am afraid our founders would be shocked at the current state of dependence so many have come to have upon the government.

Back at you, Jim. Have a good time with family, friends, fishies, whatever.

Same to all others who visit this thread.

I think maybe I'll do something different today - go fishing.

Thanks Jim, same to you...wife and I will stay home and work on the rain-birds, bbq early then later catch the fireworks nearby. Going to hit 100 here today they tell us.

Petaluma...geez, memories of the Italian restaurant nearby and Jenner. Thanks Tyrone !

Have a happy & safe 4th one and all. I'll be doing yard work. Then BBQ'd Johnsonville Brats w/sauerkraut. On second thought I may skip the yardwork and get right on those brats.
Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.

I like to boil them in beer, then grill them dry and brown. Umm, UMM!
French roll, some saute green peppers and onions, brown mustard, and more beer (cold beer!). YUM!

But I think I will brave the heat and go grill some Italian hot sausages (I have those in the fridge) then duck back into the air conditioning and watch a movie.

    Happy Independence Day, All!

That is a great picture of the flag Steve. Happy 4th of July to all here at FAOL. I thought I wanted to BBQ today but after mowing the grass and weed eating and weeding a huge vegetable garden I don't have the energy to fire up the grill. The steaks and ribs will have to wait. NASCAR is on and I have a few cold ones in the fridge.
