I am trying to locate a fly pattern used mainly for the great lakes salmon and steelhead. The name given was called '' Steelie Nightmare". Reference was made to this fly in an article from Trout Unlimitred, saying it was a Prawn pattern for Salmon. So far my searches have come up empty and I would appreciate any help that my fellow members could provide. The description given to me was that the fly was similar to a Wooly Bugger, but with a pink tail and pink body? Unfortunately the person with this info did not have a fly nor was he a fly tyer. I am trying to locate the pattern, tying instructions, etc., so that I can tie them up for a fellow Steelhead angler for this coming fall. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
