Default Vintage Rod Question??? ( Steel)

I have just acquired an old steel rod in rally good condition. I s there a way to get a starting point to detrmine a correct line weight. I don't have experience with line weights lower than 5/6 this seems lighter, so I dont have line to try it with. Also does anyone out there have any experience with one of these rods. If this is the wrong place to post this question plese direct me to the proper forum. Thanks, David

Is there any way you can post pictures? That might help.
Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.

I've rebuilt several steel rods but nothing over 6 feet.
Are the guides soldered or are they wrapped?--or both?
What shape is the handle in?
    Does the blank show rust?

Yep, we need to see this in a pic

Thanks for the replies. Iwill see what I can do with the pics. I cannot find a name on the rod it is wrapped, taper is done by necking down as rifle shell casings are done, each neck down varies in length . the rod has been painted and the metal underneath is copper plated I am sure. Still haven't checked the length but my reach is a little over 8' and it seems to be about 6 more inches. As I said it seems more limber than my 5/6 wt, cork is in great condition, David
