    Nice! I love the bonus fish this time of year. Have you run into smallies following mudding carp? That is always fun too.

    Nice, the pic of the Smallie on the bed, at first glance I thought that structure was a shark about to have a bass for breakfast. But I guess there are not a lot of sharks in Michigan.

    With that clear water I bet you had to stalk those carp pretty carefully.

    Actually, that was my first time flyfishing for carp and smallmouth. I didn't run into any smallies following mudding carp. I did see some cruising smallies on the flat.

    My best technique was to simply stand in an area where there were decent numbers of carp and cast to them while they were cruising. Single cruisers were my target and not schools of spawners.
