Historic find?

I got to go fishing today. And since we had a recent big storm (few days ago) I expected some new garbage to wash down. Interestingly enough, I find this thing sticking outta the sand. I thought it was from the 70's, my friend's dad thought the 50's. A bit short. I believe its 1921-1939, according to this page here.

EDIT: Further research indicates its the design used in 1921.
