    Default Battenkill trip this sat

Hi, I will be fishing the NY Battenkill on Sat afternoon til dark and am hoping to get an idea from a regular(never been) as what to expect hatch wise so I can tie ahead if needed or will my catskill boxes suffice...TIA!

    DARKSTAR,
Please post a report of your outing with lots of pictures. I live on the Left Coast and one of my dreams is to fish the Battenkill.
Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.

I wish I had seen this post earlier. You are probably on the water now.

I have never fished the NY part of the Battenkill but I've spent a lot of time over the last 30+ years on the Vermont side.

Your Catskill fly collection should suffice. If they've gotten as much rain as I have (I live in PA now) I'd be worried about the water level and how muddy the river is.

Let us know how you did!
