    Default 65 years ago today, D-Day 06-Jun-1944

    Shortly after midnight on 06-Jun-1944 the Airborne and Glider units went in behind the lines of Normandy, France to start the invasion of the European Continent in World War Two. On the following morning of 06-Jun-1944 the seaborne invasion began. It was the largest invasion in the history of man. Named "The Longest Day" the likes of the invasion at Normandy, France was never seen before and has never been seen since. Please take a moment in silence with me to honor those who fought on this The Longest Day in history, many of whom never saw another day.
