    Default Green BGs

    After losing a few carp this afternoon, I hooked a dozen or so of these little guys. note the color of the lower fins.

    That's your basic Green Sunfish. They're sure a good lookin' critter.

    pretty fish, and decent fighters for their size as well. I've always thought of them as the "missing link" between bluegills (size) and bass (attitude).
    If it swims and eats, it'll eat a fly.

    Agreed as well. If you catch a warmouth those to look a lot like a bass/gill. The sunfish body with a large bass like mouth. Nice fish. Nothing prettier than the colors on a sunfish right out of the water.

    ...agree, but they also look pretty good in a nice batter next to an asparagus stalk!
