    Talking New Cane Build

Just off the bench.......... here is a sweet little 2pc. 2 tip , 6ft. 3/4wt. blonde. Built on a Winston Taper with Nickle silver ferrules, brown wraps with some green highlites. The seat is dark walnut with 2 coats of tru-oil to match the wraps ,and sports a nice matching end cap of the same wood.
Test cast with 3wt plastic and 4wt cortland sylk it lays out a nice line 35-40ft ,and should be a nice delicate dry fly rod for those smaller streams.........Ed

Nice added touch in wrapping the ferrule, ala R. L. Winston!

    Thumbs up

Another great looking rod, Ed. Really like the reel seat / butt cap and the wrapping colors. Sounds like it will be a great small stream rod.

The wood reel seat butt is a subtle and beautiful addition. Nice work.
