Well, I was the one that won the Batson gift certificate in April. Just letting everyone know that I chose the RX7+ in 4wt, 8'6" and just got it today. Beautiful brown color and very light weight. Mr. Batson and his team are very nice people to deal with too. They have sent a list of components suggested to use in building the rod and I think I'll follow it fairly close. Thanks FAOL & Batson! I am Blessed!

Lucky dog. I love that blank and have built several rods using it. You will have a blast fishing it.

Picked this blank for my Rocky Mountain National Park Dry Fly rod. It is a beautiful blank. I've built one rod before but am not very skilled at it. Was actually thinking about getting the components when I can and finding someone to build it for me. Don't know for sure yet.

You have made an excellent choice. The RX7+ is one of my favorite blanks. I've built a 4wt and I am now working on a 6wt. It has the best feel of any rod I have ever cast. A perfect combination of power and finesse. It's damn purdy ta boot.

Congratulations on winning, sure it will look better if a pro builds it but will it mean as much to you when you bring in that first fish with it?

The RX7+ blank you chose is very nice. I have assembled several for felllow anglers and they all have nothing but praise for the rod. I just completed an RX7 8' 6" 4 piece 3 wt. and it is one sweet 3 wt. Batson produces some great blanks. Enjoy the new rod!!!!!!!!
