    Default Beach Snook May 12

Fished Ken Taylor of North Port, Fla., today. Conditions changed slightly. Surf was up a little and wind was out of the northwest. In addition, there was more floating grass than we prefer.

Ken caught three snook and 13 spotted seatrout on D.O.A. Shrimp and Sebile plugs. I caught three snook and 12 trout on D.T. Special flies.

Our snook ranged from 21 to 25 inches. Trout were smaller today than yesterday; from 12 to 16 inches.

Still, it was a very enjoyable outing.

Book your trips early. This is going to be one heckuva beach snook season.

Steve, I will take one of those 'new' Cortand bonefish lines (P+ Crystal) with me this next week to the southern islands. Will do a report on them soon. Look good though...
