This is just in case any of you NW Arkasnas, SW Missouri, or Easern Oklahoma guys would like to join us for one of our meetings. Here is some information about us. I will be posting meetings and outings as they arise. Feel free to pm or email me with any questions.

This club was started in 1996 by Sallyann Brown when she saw a need to draw local fly fishers together. We currently have around fifty active members from the Northwest Arkansas area. We are a Federation of Fly Fishers associate club and are members of the Southern Council. We meet on the third Monday of each month at Jim?s Razorback Pizza in Springdale on Highway 412 (1528 West Sunset). Our meetings are a social hour starting at 6:00pm and meeting starting at 7:00pm. We have had beginning fly casting and fly tying classes. We have had three rod building classes and there were several very nice custom rods that came out of these clinics.

We have an on-the-water fishing outing once a month. And whenever we can talk someone else into going. We have been trout fishing on the tail waters of Beaver, Bull Shoals, Norfork and Mountain Fork. We have had smallmouth trips to Lee?s Creek, Crooked Creek, Sugar Creek and King?s River. Our white bass trips to War Eagle, Richland Creek and White River are legendary. We go largemouth bass fishing at Lake Leatherwood, bream fishing at Lake Fayetteville.

We are very active in the conservation field. We work closely with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and have a number of that group in our club. Our group has helped sink many hundreds of used Christmas tree fish attractors in Beaver Lake. We were also responsible for erecting signs along the King?s River telling of rules changes for the smallmouth fishery there. Our club has donated money to AGFC for public access points on the King?s River and Spavinaw Creek. Our club was presented an award from the AGFC for the amount of work we have done in helping out with their projects such as the styrofoam clean up. After a very severe storm wrecked havoc on one of the marinas on Beaver Lake, our club was called upon to help pick up pieces of styrofoam chunks that were floating all over the lake. A pile of trash the size of a house was rescued from the lake.

We have a Facebook group(Tightlines Fyfishers) as well as a webpage. We would love to have any of you locals or anyone who happens to be in the area join us for an outting or meeting.
