Heres the pattern for the Crawfish, I meant to put it in the box.
the hook I used was a: Mustad AC36890 #2 6Xlong
Materials:
Mustad Wet Fly Hook #2-8
Body: Cream Hares Ear Dubbing, Cream Furnace Hackle
Back Cover: Olive or Brown Fuzzy Foam
Feelers: Wild Turkey Feather
Eyes: 30# Mono
Tentacles: Pheasant feather
Step# 1
Tie color thread to match Fuzzy Foam to just over the bend.
Step# 2
Tie in small 1/4 inch wide fuzzy Foam at bend of hook.
Step# 3
Tie in equal amounts of Turkey feather barbs on either side of hook along with mono eyes and tentacles
Step# 4
Tie in furnace hackle just in front of fuzzy foam.
Step# 5
Dub on the cream Hares Ear all the way to the front just behind the eye to leave space for tie off.
Step# 6
Wrap Furnace hackle forward and tie off at front, clip off excess.
Step# 7
Divide the hackle to either side, and pull Fuzzy Foam over to the front and tie off, then pull excess back and whip finish. Cut small hole in end of Foam to pull over eye and then trim.
Tah- Dah easy and you?re done, a Bass catcher you will not believe, just match your area crawfish and you?re sure to catch-em?.
Have fun and Thanks for all the ideas and patterns for the extended bodies, will have to get on that as soon as I finish all the swap flies I?m tying.
