I had a short conversation with two little boys today, while on my Litter Patrol, which is a good example of what motivates me to walk almost every day.
The older brother says to me: "Can I help you (pick up trash)?, and I said: "You can help me by not throwing trash on the ground!"
His little brother walks up and says the same thing: "Can I help you?", and the brother I just got done talking to, turns to his little brother and says: "We can help him by not throwing trash on the ground!"
I would encourage anyone with the opportunity to help kids, to do it!

    Doug -

That was obviously a very enjoyable and rewarding experience for you. Thanks for sharing it.

Dammit Steve, I thought Doug was back.

    Yeah, he had it right.

The 4 year old granddaughter to her mother as she describes her day, trying to remember where she felt her ring, "And then I was near the house and found this big stick. Now before you say anything Mommy, I wasn't running with it." she found the ring "Where I left it!" later. Kids are sometimes a lot smarter than we give them credit for AND remember better than we think they can or WANT THEM TOO!!
