Cool Yee Haw. Goin' to Texas

Leaving at 7:30 AM for Texas. Be back on line in 8 days. Gotta go see 3 of my children, two grandkids, my sister and her family and some old friends on the ranch. I'll bring along my 7 piece 7 wt in case I get close to some bass water. My sister lives in Azel not too far from Eagle Mt. Lake. I hope they still have sandies in there. My nephew is in Weatherford. I know there are catfish and bass there. The ranch is not far from Buchanan lake NW of Austin. Got some furled leaders, some 2X tippet and some big ol' woolie buggers. If I'm forgetting anything let me know tonight. C YA. Jim

Hope you have a great trip. There be some great fishing in your area and if you get a chance to drift a little further south check out the Guadalupe River area. Lots of great hill country streams.

I just left the temple area of texas, which is just north of austin and on my way home to the Portland oregon area. wheather lots of rain for the next week, reagular down pour there this morning, got soaked getting the trailer read for travel. There were tornado warning for the next few day which was told to me by a local. It a nice area if you like 75% humidity. hope you have as nice a time as I did

Well the N. Texas weather forcast for the next few days is for intermittent rain. Pretty good chance of rain today and then dry through Friday, with rain again over the weekend. Considering we had a very dry last few months of 2008 and first few months of 2009 we will take it!

Fishing below Possum Kingdom dam should be pretty good right now as well as other fishing in the area. If you need specific advice stop by Backwoods in Fort Worth and talk with Steven or give them a call and they should be able to help you out.

    Enjoy your trip!
