Medalist DA question

Is it possible to have a Pflueger Medalist with the DA in the model # and "Made in USA" stamped on the rim...and have a 6 rivet spool????

According to the Richard Komer article it shouldn't be but I think I've seen one and I don't think the spool was likely switched?????

Hello,

Either the spool was switched or the faceplate changed, since the spools and faceplates of all Medalists of all years are interchangeable (except the riveted faceplates).

For example, I have the green and silver Orvis Madison reels made by Pflueger and their spools and faceplates fit the black Medalists.
