Hey guys, I'm going to be vacationing in Myrtle Beach the first week of June. As always, I'm going to bring my surf rod, but have never brought along a fly rod. I have zero experience with fly fishing in the salt, but what really got me thinking was another thread dealing with bass in Miami canals. I have never gotten very creative and looked around the Myrtle Beach area for canals and out of the ordinary fishing locations, but I thought this time I might. I'm going to be staying in one of the high rise hotels right downtown. BTW, I'm gonna go and buy a temp. fishing license whether I need it or not, if I fish anywhere other than the beach front. For a few piddley bucks, I just don't need the hassle of trying to keep all that stuff straight. Everything will be catch and release, so no concerns there either. My plan, if you could call it that, is to strip some clousers and poppers through the surf and look for other fishy looking canals. Anybody got any helpful tips or advice.

Thanks,

Keith
