Yes I have several times. They are a very good blank with a med fast action. I have built spinning rods and fly rods on them infact there is a pic somewhere on here of that rod. They are very inexpensive and of a quality I and several of my customers are happy with. Take the leap you will not reqret it.

I haven't built on that particular blank, however, I recently built a Tiger Eye 7'6" 3/4. I am very impressed with the result. It has a nice feel and throws the 3wt and the 4wt equally well. I would guess that the 4/5 would be similar.

The only thing that I don't care for is when a rod is rated at 2 different wts. I'm looking more at a 4 than 5 but don't know which way this blank will lean towards.

Did the 764/5 and it VERY comfortably throws both the 4 and the 5 weight line. Also have the 703/4 and it's awesome! You won't be wrong in any way shape or form if you build on the tiger eye blank. But you will spend a lot of time smiling!!

These were the guys I got my rod blanks from. Really wonderful people to talk to on the phone. Orders are sent out quickly and correctly. Of the four blanks I got, three of them were already marked for spine!
