Cool flying fish pattern ! Guess in the not too distant future there will be some offshore drilling near here that could rival that areas fishing. Remember fishing below highway bridges for smallies & despite the noise, there were almost always fish there. Preferred fishing away from the traffic noise for the peace & relaxation of just hearing the rivers waters call, but for that great flyrodding on a cool fishing outing, it's got to be worth every minute of it! Don't know how the noise compares as the only oil rigs I've ever heard were out in cattle & horse pasture fields? Might have to try tying some of those for the day it happens on the southern gulf coast, but in the meantime see if the flying fish pattern will make a good finger mullet imitation
