    Here is the first fish I caught on my first fly rod I ever built. Sure does bring a smile to your face catching a fish on a rod you built and a fly that you tied.

    I really like the wells and color of the reel insert!

    That would fit my style very well...

    Congrats, and I thought I was doing something catching trout on flys I had tied, great job and great looking rod!

    Way to go!! Now, the next step is to catch one with a fly you tied, on a rod you built, using a furled leader you furled yourself. Thank goodness it never ends.
    Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.
