    Default 10 weight advice

Hello Everyone, I am looking to get a new 10 weight rod with a fast action for some saltwater action. I like the ability to throw the heavy grains, to get down fast for some east coast Stripers and Albies. Usually in the 425 - 450 grain lines. My Current TFO 9 weight professional just seems too whippy at times!

But I was looking for a fast action taper rod, and was looking for suggestions? I know a lot of online reviews say the Sage Xi2 is an ideal rod for this, but I have casted other rods such as Albright's XX and Sage Flight, that seem to be even stiffer.

Does anyone have any advice on a Extra Fast Action taper 10 weight in 4 piece? I am trying to keep it relatively inexpensive, and if I went with the Sage Xi2 it would have to be used or custom. Thanks in Advance, for any insight.

Just got the Albright 5 piece travel 10wt.
Plenty fast (stiff). Maybe too much for a lot of casters.

I have a Loomis Crosscurrent that is amazing and it felt faster and than the Sage when I tried them out. I fell in love with it right off the bat. I used in down in the Keys where it was blowing 25-30 and it performed very well.

The TFO ticr and ticrX models are pretty quick too and won't break the bank. Their new Axiom looks pretty good too.

I would try to find a shop that carries a few different brands and try them out yourself

I have a redington RS3 10wt which I like. The RS3 was replaced by the RS4 Pretty fast action on this rod.

I checked out the TFO TiCRX and it definitely seemed nice for the money. I will probably continue to check it out. Because it definitely looked like a steal.

I will be fishing from beaches mostly hunting stripers in New England. so I am looking for somrthing that can punch a strong wind.

Which Albright model were you casting? coach bob?
