    Default snake guides

I'm about finished wrapping that bamboo, and what a difference with the snake brand guides. They are terrific, and I'll never get anything else. I hope they are a sponsor.

Default Just saw your post herefishy...

I'm going to go to the 'factory' and pick up
some sets for my current project and a couple
more that I never finished now that I've seen
the Snake Brand guides...might even grab an
    agate stripping guide or two.

    Cheers,

Wish I had gotten an agate, but I "cheaped out". Did find a nice mildrum for it though. Sure would be handy to just run by the factory and look at everything - I envy you.

    Default Agate....

Hello herefishy, well it will be my first time
stopping by there...also of interest is that
Angler's Workshop is 20 minutes away and
Loomis is close to Angler's Workshop. I'm
even thinking of checking out the Sage
    factory one of these times.

Could always post when I'm heading that
way if'n ya'd like to place an order for
    something.

    Cheers,

Snake Brand are the best IMO. No humble included. I've build rods with the agate strippers, and they are beautiful. But my taste has gone also to Mildrum strippers. More practical I think. I did have an agate stripper come off. Had to cut off the guide and send it back to Mike. No questions asked. I like the change. Half my rods- agate, half Mildrum. All Snake Brand Guides. Great combinations.

Thanks, George, I might do that - shipping charges are ridiculous these days. Although, I've mailed a few things lately that make me think maybe these companies aren't ripping us off, it's the transport companies.

    Default Recoil Stripper

I like the REC Recoil stripper guides too. They've a simple and classy look and a lot lighter in weight than the agate - less expensive, too. Just an idea.

Remember, there is no perfect way. Just enjoy the process of building and also, of course, enjoy the fishing!!

    Default Shippers...

I hear that herefishy, I sent out the chestpac
yesterday and I think the lady at the PO put
her thumb on the scale...packing and all I don't
think my package weighed much over a pound
though I din't look at the scale when the lady
weighed it...I was too shocked at the $8.70 fee
to VA. I left smiling though and was thankful I
only have a short walk to the PO from the house, so I suppose there's some savings in gas.

    Cheers,
