I don't know if I buy the "better" bit when it comes to the aluminum they use in the newest Hardy reels. I really doubt that the RAF or Royal Navy subcontracts to Korea for their structural parts. I can tell you that the new reels are really sweet and affordable compared to the last UK versions that preceded them.

And you are indeed correct, the only UK built Hardy reels presently are the Perfects in the "Heritage" line. I believe that a reissue St George and Princess are to follow in 2010 & 2011.
