Bill, That was a really interesting story. Do you keep a journal of your escapades or is this from memory? I enjoyed it. Jimsnarocks

I'm either going to, coming from or thinking about fishing. Jim
I agree, great story. Made a wonderful read with the morning coffee.
Happiness is wading boots that never have a chance to dry out.
Good morning.
Jindabyne, I lived there in the 60's.
Its a magical place, thats close to heaven, to me.
Kind regards,

You have sparked something in us Aussies! Nice story, it is a great place and has some awsome still water fishing. Glad you enjoyed it and some of our wildlife. At least we do not need bear spray, mountain lion spray or any other sort of furry critter repellant!

Gringo,
What type of spray is used to repel Taipans or King Browns?

the chances getting bitten by a snake are so remote, they dont stalk/hunt you! the only bad time for snakes is when its there breeding season other than that they wont attack unless threatened. Jindabyne is a great place has many beautiful streams close by. Although at the moment its been hit heavy by drought

I very much enjoyed my stay in Australia. Wonderful people, hardy, outgoing and fun. Not sure I buy the upside down map, though.
May your waders never leak.

I wish I had a chance to meet you then. There is some nice fishing....
As to spiders, I think we invented them!

Thanks very much for your kind words. I've written a fair amount over the years for my own consumption, and the notes reside in various forms which can occasionally be gleaned for a tale or two. Not as much on fishing as I'd like, though.
