    Arrow 'A Beginners Journal'......

After reading most of the new posts, I was looking for something more to read on this wet/dreary saturday! Being here almost five yrs. , I thought I read about everything there was to read.
But no, I found this series of articles by Don McPherson, which should be enjoyable to all 'FFishers'.
Go to ......FlyFishing Basics/Beginners Journal @ 9 articles
    * if I try to copy/paste the link..... it only shows the main page (?)
    Enjoy........

John when copying a link from an FAOL thread, right click on your mouse when it is pointed into the main portion of the text. On the bottom of the drop down menu is "properties" click on this. A page will then pop up which shows the correct link. I always check the link after posting as sometimes I click on the wrong part of the page and only get a picture or something when the link opens.

    Clear as mud?

Now I have to go find those journals.

    Default Right......

    Eric,
Thank you, I forgot about that routine!
I had to 'right click' on the page; choose 'select all'; then copy the hlighted link( Ctrl C); then paste the link ( Ctrl V) in the thread.
    Very nice article.........

    * An excerpt from Part 6....... ' Get a Few lessons'
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Until one day after flailing away for what seemed like an eternity during a pretty good mayfly hatch, another angler who was having much more luck than me asked what I was using. I told him I was using a Pale Morning Dun. He walked over to me and took a look at my fly.

After he examined my fly, the look on his face told me that he must have thought my fly to be a wondrous creation. Wondrous is right, he was wondering what the heck it was! He told me he thought maybe I had used a little too much dubbing on my fly and showed me his version of a PMD. Hmmm.... his was quite smaller, and more taper. It didn't look like a jellybean like mine did. I thanked him for his help and sulked back home. My fears had just been confirmed, my flies where terrible. I vowed never to tie another fly, I'd only buy them!
