I've been hanging out with Dave a bit in his last couple of weeks in the states. He is very happy for the opportunity to go and work at such a prestigious university. He is going to be living in a condo that is on a canal leading into the Red Sea. He was trying to line up a kayak to be one of the things he takes with him- don't know if he managed that or not. He gifted me all of his fishing books (mostly fiction) as well as a bunch of other stuff that he couldn't get rid of. I am also the curator of his rifle until he returns- I plan on being more successful with it than he has.

If anyone has any information on fishing the Red Sea please forward it to me and I will pass it on to Dave. He will probably soon be the authority on it. Rumors of tarpon and bonefish, maybe permit. I hope to go and visit him there if the fishing turns out to be as untapped and fantastic as we think it will.
