After casting my tadpole for the swap, I couldn't help but think that the second one I ordered would be best used for my 8 year old daughter's first rod. It can be built inexpensively, is pretty rugged, and is a bit shorter with a fairly forgiving action. With the snowstorm we had, I had some extra time today, so I finished wrapping her rod. I kept it simple, and let her pick out the color (pale yellow NCP). I still have the inscription, and then the finish to do.

BTW, that is my finish application spatula on the table.
