Fingerless gloves and a charcoal handwarmer. Worked for me for years, specially when steelheading. I don't fish in the brutal cold anymore. One of the Itis brothers (Arthur) caught up with me and did a number on my fingers. I always felt that charcoal handwarmers were less dangerous than the liquid fuel kind.
