    using some ice dubbing in the peacock color would eliminate any need to reinforce the thorax area peacock herl.

    i would assume the reinforcement of the peacock herl is up to the tyer, but is a good insurance policy

    I agree, Norm, ....was just wondering if she bothered. The peacock Ice dub is a good suggestion...I've got "a ton" of it.

    I've wondered though if material like that really is equal to the real peacock?

    nothing is equal to the real thing.

    i dont think it will turn that irradescent bronzey color like the real stuff does.
