Was able to get away for a couple of days and decided to try the Crooked. While fishing I saw this guy wading up and down the river with a plastic bag, but no rod. Being a nosey fellow I asked him what he was up to and he explained that he worked for the Fish & Feather folks and was planting Chinook smolt in the river. We talked a bit and he also said they planted steelhead smolt last year. And they were doing some stream restoration further down from Bowman dam which would hopefuly allow the steelies & chinook to establish a spwning run on the Crooked. Time will tell.

PS: Whitefish were hitting good and enjoyed the trip despite it being quite cold causing the guides to ice up, my nose to ice up, my ears to ice up, etc etc. (lol).
