Yesterday was a club whitefish tournament on the Deschutes. Cool weather and grey clouds prevailed. Air temperature was around 40F and water temperature was just below 45F.
A nice BWO hatch came off around 1400.
Fishing was pretty decent, plenty of whitefish were caught along with a few feisty Deschutes Redsides. Sorry for the lack of images in that department, I haven't quite yet mastered landing and holding a fish while trying to take a picture of the little bugger.
Scene of the day was happening across the river when a group of 20 or so bighorn sheep started playing acrobatics on the rock face. Truly amazing animals to watch. Poor quality picture but it was the most that I could squeeze out of my little camera.
